Palmistry is also known as chirology which means foretelling the future through the study of the palm. Palmistry is not only referring to the reading of one’s hand or palm, it also includes the reading of arm, finger and fingernail.
The palmistry has its roots in Indian & Chinese Astrology. There are many myths about palmistry. For example: Most common beliefs are that one who has a long Line of Saturn or Fate line is rich man. Also, a belief that a person with a short Line of Life has a short life, Some says that if lines of marriage are more than one in hand, then the person has many marriages, which is absolutely wrong. A Marriage line reveals long lasting relations.
Three basic areas that reader look while analysis your palm are Lines, Mounts, and Shapes. The four major lines are heart, head, life and fate. Three lines are easy to locate on your hands (Heart, head & life). While the fourth major fate line is sometimes broken or faded or even be missing. The Palmist has to corelate the Missing, fragmented, or chained lines to give clues of characteristics you have and how you will live your life.
Before reading your palm, you should choose the right hand to read. Some people think the right for female and left for male. In fact your both hands play great importance in hand reading. But one is dominant and the other is passive. The left hand usually represents what you were born with physically and materially (Janam) and the right hand represents what you become after grown up (Karma). So, the right hand is dominant in palm reading and the left for supplement.
